Water Analysis
At Trans Asia Industrial Laboratories, our advanced chemistry laboratory supports industries in understanding and managing water chemistry to meet regulatory and operational requirements. Each year, we assist a wide range of clients in identifying potential risks, ensuring compliance, and maintaining water quality across their processes.
We offer convenient and efficient water analysis solutions, with streamlined sampling procedures and prompt reporting. Our comprehensive services are designed to help organizations meet local and international regulatory obligations with confidence.
We utilize Inductively Coupled Plasma – Optical Emission Spectroscopy (ICP-OES) for precise and reliable elemental analysis. This technique enables the detection of metals and selected non-metals in liquid samples at trace levels with high accuracy, speed, and sensitivity. ICP-OES is widely recognized for its robustness in multi-element analysis, making it a critical tool for environmental and industrial water testing.
Our Water Testing Services Include:
- Drinking Water – High-sensitivity analysis to meet stringent regulatory limits, including large-scale monitoring programs
- Groundwater – Advanced testing for environmental assessments and compliance with municipal and federal standards
- Wastewater – Pre- and post-treatment analysis to ensure discharge meets regulatory requirements
- Stormwater – Monitoring runoff from industrial and agricultural sources, including specialized contaminant analysis
- Grey Water & Ballast Water – Evaluation for reuse, discharge, and environmental compliance
Commonly Performed Tests:
- Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs)
- Semi-volatile organics and pesticides
- PCBs and herbicides
- Petroleum hydrocarbons
- Metals and trace elements
- Microbiological analysis
- General chemistry parameters (minerals, residues, anions, nutrients)

Carbon Sulphur Analysis
we provide precise and reliable Carbon and Sulphur (C/S) analysis using advanced ELTRA analyzers, supporting industries in quality control, material certification, and failure investigations.
Carbon and sulphur are critical elements that significantly influence the mechanical properties, weldability, corrosion resistance, and overall performance of metals and alloys. Even slight variations can lead to material failure, making accurate determination essential.
Our Capability:
We utilize ELTRA combustion analyzers based on the principle of high-temperature combustion in an oxygen-rich environment, followed by infrared (IR) detection.
- Samples are combusted at high temperatures
- Carbon is converted to CO₂, sulphur to SO₂
- Gases are measured using infrared detectors
- Results are delivered with high precision and repeatability
This method ensures rapid, accurate, and simultaneous determination of carbon and sulphur content across a wide range of materials.
Why Carbon & Sulphur Analysis Matters:
- Carbon affects hardness, strength, and ductility
- Sulphur influences machinability but may cause brittleness and hot cracking
- Ensures compliance with ASTM, ASME, API, and international standards
- Prevents defects such as cracking, segregation, and poor weld performance
Applications:
- Steel and Alloy Verification
- Welding Quality Control
- Failure Analysis & Root Cause Investigation
- Foundry and Manufacturing Quality Assurance
- Incoming Material Inspection
